The University of Maryland, College Park (located on the adjacent campus) is a competative and prestigious school and as such garners significant name recognition. In comparison, the admisions standards and accademic rigor of UMUC are much lower. It is unfortunate that the University of Maryland brand gets watered down by UMUC’s low accademic standards.
Earning an online degree is quite flexible as compared to regular course and one can easily plan for further studies besides moving on with current lifestyle.
