Question by KMart220: Are fully accredited online universities worth it?
Do employers take degrees from accredited online universities seriously? I am thinking of taking my last two years of classes through an online program but I am hesitant. Does anyone have any advise or expertise about the validity of online degrees?

It depends a lot on the employer and what they are looking for. Some employers don’t care, and just want some kind of degree, but if you are up against someone for a job and they have a degree form a recognized university you might have trouble. Don’t let the word accredited fool you. Generally online universities have what is called a national accreditation, but traditional universities all have regional accreditation. If you tried to take your online degree, and say get into a graduate school at a traditional university they won’t accept you.
