Question by undecided future: can you get a commission in the us armed forces with an accredited online degree?
just looking on here for answers before going to a recruiter, i have asked them for information before and got bombarded with daily phone calls,

I can’t blame you for not wanting 100 phone calls.

I know this much: you cannot get an officer’s commision unless you have a college degree. So, clearly you would have to go OCS.

My suggestion is to call the OCS school in Fort Benning. That’s one way.

I tend to think if it is “accredited” it would qualify. THat said, every body and his brother differ on what “accredited” means. That’s the tough part.

Failing that, you are just going to be firm with those individuals who call you. If you can’t take repeated calls then you will find it hard being an officer. ONe way around it would be to REFUSE to give your phone number out and simply ask for a clear answer, one way or another.
